Dbanj speaks on Psquare reported split
D’banj has waded into the ongoing drama between the PSquare brothers
The Psquare brothers have been in the news for a couple of weeks over issues of separation.
Kokomaster, as D’banj is popularly called while speaking in an interview with NET, blamed the media for the extremity of the fight.
According to him, the fight between the brothers would not be worse if the media allowed them handle issues privately, adding that brothers will always fight.
“The media should sit back and let them settle their issues amicably.
“They’re making it worse by writing all sorts of stories about them.
“Brothers will always fight and get back as brothers, but the media should not write negative stories in a bid to make money off the headlines,” Dbanj said.
Recently, Peter of psquare was seen performing alone at a concert in Dallas.
Davido: I don’t believe my friend died of excess alcohol – Tagbo’s friend
A friend to the late Tagbo, the young man who died on his birthday and was allegedly abandoned by super star Davido and his crew has blasted the singer.
Tagbo’s friend, identified as Uthman Oluwadamilola, said ‘autopsy will reveal the truth’.
Oluwadamilola further shared photos of Tagbo with Davido and his car which was abandoned.
He wrote, “I don’t want to believe this story because you are mature to know your limit and this is not the first time hanging out with @davidoofficial.
“@tagb0 please wake up and tell us the true story. I won’t believe until I see u no more.

Man impregnates 13-year-old step-daughter, says ‘I’m in love with her’

Policemen attached to the Area G Police Command, Lagos State have arrested one Saka Akonda for impregnating his step-daughter, 13.
Akonda 36, a furniture maker, residing at Obawole, Iju, Lagos State, was arrested following a complaint filed by the girl’s paternal uncle.
Akonda, who was dragged before the Magistrate Court in Ogba, said he is “in love” with the firl.
He expressed shocked that the police could arrest him, even after he had settled the matter amicably with the girl’s biological father.
Akonda, a father of two, said he has accepted responsibility for the underage girl’s pregnancy, stressing that he was willing and ready to take good care of her.
He said: “Everything would have been okay, but it’s the girl’s father’s brother that is causing problem.
He was the person that encouraged the girl’s father to arrest me. Even when my wife said we should abort the girl’s pregnancy, I kicked against it.
“I was afraid for her life. I don’t want her to die. I have been sponsoring the girl’s education since my wife came with her to my house.
“Her father appreciated my effort on the girl.”
Akonda said the police officer that arrested him requested the sum of N50,000 to settle the case with the girl’s father, but that he could only raise N10,000.
He said: “Right now I’m begging the girl’s father to remember that I had been caring for the girl for long. Most times, her father doesn’t care for her.”
Akonda said his wife left him after he was arrested by the police.
The girl’s uncle, Oladele Rasheed, 52, a driver, said the girl’s mother left his
brother’s house five years ago to marry Akonda.
Rasheed said: “The man who impregnated the little girl married my brother’s wife.
“The woman abandoned her husband to go and live with this useless man, who has impregnated mother and daughter.
“I want the law to take its due course and punish him for his wickedness.
“Even if my elder brother backtracks on this matter, I shall not. I would see this case to the end.”
Monkey Pox: Doctor, 10 others infected in Bayelsa
A new airborne Ebola-like viral disease, referred to as ‘Monkey Pox” has hit the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital (NDUTH), Okolobiri in Yenagoa local council of Bayelsa State.
Consequently, a medical doctor and 10 others have already been diagnosed of the disease and had been quarantined at the NDUTH in Okolobiri.
The isolation centre was created by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the epidemiological team of the state Ministry of Health to check the spread of the virus.
It was learnt that the NCDC and the epidemiological team were tracking 49 other suspected cases, who were said to have come in contact with the infected persons.
When The Guardian visited the hospital, the Public Relations Office declined comments.
But speaking separately, a health professional at the Department of Internal Medicine and a staff in the Chief Medical Director’s (CMD) office, who pleaded anonymity, said the ‘monkey pox’ disease was traced to monkeys and may have originated from hunters in the community.
They said the symptoms of the disease include sweating, cough, general weakness and rashes in the body.
They, however, assured members of the public of quarantine methods in the hospital facility to prevent the spread of the disease just like it was done in curtailing the spread of Ebola in the country.
Confirming the development, the state Commissioner for Health, Prof. Ebitimitula Etebu, said samples of the virus had been sent to the World Health Organisation (WHO) Laboratory in Dakar, Senegal for confirmation.
He described monkey pox as a viral illness caused by a group of viruses that include chicken pox and small pox, adding that the first case was noticed in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and subsequently spread to other West African countries.
Explaining that the virus has the Central African and the West African types, he said the West African type was milder and has no records of deaths.
“Recently in Bayelsa State we noticed a suspected outbreak of monkey pox. It has not been confirmed. We have sent samples to the WHO reference laboratory in Dakar, Senegal.
“When that comes out we will be sure that it is confirmed. But from all indications, it points towards it,” he said.
